In this workshop, our task was to create a font for a 16 letter quote. The end result was to choose an ultimate quote and combine different fonts in a 4 X 4 grid to create a final piece of intergrated typography.
We were first given a grid to sketch out our font into. I created a gothic font that intergrated Old English and German Script. My chosen quote was the latin phrase, "Acta Non Verba", meaning "Deeds not words". I thought a gothic, medieval aged font would be appropriate and suit the quote well in terms of aesthetic appearance.
Eventually, our next task was to scale, finalize and render our fonts. I left my font blank because I would further render it on photoshop with ym desired gradient effect. We scaled them to A5 paper, one letter for one page.
